Position Overview
To ensure the successful completion of program objectives, tasks, activities, and responsibilities, a minimum of 40-45 hours per week is required. It is essential to document outcome measures and variances thoroughly. 
The work schedule encompasses Monday, 8 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday, 11 AM to 7:30 PM, Wednesday/Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM.
Summary Description of Position:
Manage the day-to-day operations of advocacy and counseling services. Display strong leadership abilities to agency staff and volunteers, as well as the ability to manage time with little to no supervision. Serve clients who are victims of family violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, and child sexual abuse. Identify, recommend, and coordinate collaboration opportunities to reach victims and victim service providers to build relationships to serve better victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and update counseling plans by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing assessment data and victimization history; establish courses of action that promote the healing and empowerment of clients.
  • Deliver direct services by conducting family, individual, and group counseling sessions.
  • Attend and actively participate with inter-agency coalitions and networking groups.
  • Facilitate professional training and educate staff by assessing training needs; develop and deliver in-service training programs; evaluate outcomes; supervise interns.
  • Provide direct and indirect advocacy, assistance, and follow-up to victims/secondary victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
  • Maintain client records according to the compliance requirements of BATP, and its funding sources.
  • Establish positive working relationships with police, hospitals, schools, and criminal justice systems.
  • Conduct client assessments, including individual support, advocacy, referrals, safety planning, PO, CVC, and VINE processes and follow-up.
  • Perform emergency and non-emergency accompaniments to court, medical, and law enforcement agencies.
  • Handle crisis intervention hotline calls and face-to-face advocacy and intervention.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education:
  • Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Social Worker and 1-year experience working with children and youth.
  • Minimum Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.
Other Requirements:
  • Computer knowledge of programs
  • Ability to be on location to on-call status areas within 45 minutes.
  • Must have at least 3 years of verifiable driving experience.
  • Must provide and maintain valid proof of personal automobile insurance.
  • Must be able to lift/carry/move a minimum of 40 lbs. for an extended distance.
  • Must have a clean driving record and be insurable.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize changing work and caseload.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Sensitivity and knowledge about the issues addressed by BATP.
